The challenge is, I think, deceptively simple: every day (weather permitting) I heave my copy of the OED off the shelf and select a word. I tweet that word with the following instructions: “today’s Haiku Challenge: any haiku you like, as long as it has the word ‘_____’ in it… #haikuchallenge.”

Participants are then required to craft a haiku using that day’s word and to tweet it using the Twitter hashtag “#haikuchallenge”. The results are always interesting.
